To calculate your home loan repayments, our Home Loan Repayment Calculator considers three things: the loan amount, the term, and the interest rate. The loan amount is also known as your principal, while the term is the remaining term of the loan. The interest rate is the cost of taking out that loan, calculated as a percentage of the principal amount.

LVR stands for Loan-to-Value Ratio. It's a percentage that represents the amount of your loan compared to the value of the property you're buying. For example, if you're purchasing a property worth $500,000 and you have a $100,000 deposit, your loan amount would be $400,000. This means your LVR would be 80% ($400,000 loan / $500,000 property value). LVR is important because it can affect your interest rate and whether you need to pay Lenders Mortgage Insurance (LMI).

LMI stands for Lenders Mortgage Insurance. It's a type of insurance that helps protect the lender in case you're unable to repay your home loan. LMI is usually required if your Loan-to-Value Ratio (LVR) is above 80%, meaning you have a deposit of less than 20% of the property’s value. While LMI helps protect the lender, it's important to note that the cost is typically passed on to the borrower as a one-time premium, which is added to the loan amount.

A comparison rate is a tool that helps you understand the true cost of a home loan. It combines the loan's interest rate with most of the fees and charges you'll pay over the life of the loan, expressed as a single percentage.

You may request a personalised Key Facts Sheet to help you compare and select the most appropriate loan for you. To generate a Key Facts Sheet, complete the loan amount, loan term and the interest rate for the type of loan. If your loan type is eligible, you can also select whether you wish to take out a Wealth Package. You then click ‘Generate a Key Facts Sheet’. When you click on this link your Key Facts Sheet will be generated which you can download and print. The Key Facts Sheet is available for variable, fixed rate and honeymoon rate loans, as well as loans that are eligible for Wealth Package. However it is not available for interest only and interest in advance loan options, Viridian Line of Credit or Equity Unlock for Senior’s loans.

Please note that the Key Facts Sheet will only display the advertised headline rate for a product or package, and repayment frequency is automatically set at monthly, although other repayment options are available.

Calculations are estimates provided as a guide only. They assume interest rates don’t change over the life of the loan and are calculated on the rate that applies for the initial period of the loan.&nbsp
